Emotional and Mental Health

What's the deal with... is a website to help with the emotional health of young people living in Norfolk and Suffolk.

As the Mental Health Foundation says, "Mental Health affects us all. How we think and feel about ourselves and our lives impacts on our behaviour and how we cope in tough times."

Great Yarmouth and Waveney Mind have a Young People in Mind Service for 14 to 25 year olds living in the Great Yarmouth or Lowestoft areas who are looking for some help to deal with their thoughts, emotions or behaviour. You don't have to have a diagnosed mental health condition.

According to Time to Change, 1 in 10 young people experience mental health problems. The Time to Change campaign aims to end mental health discrimination and shares real life stories to support other young people.

Visit Young Minds to find out how to improve your mental health.

In association with Young Minds is HeadMeds gives young people in England general information about medication.

Rethink Mental Illness has information about services and groups, diagnosis and treatment, living with mental illness and carers, family and friends.
