Dr Liam Stevens
Chair, Clinical Vice Chairman, GP at Newtown and Caister Medical Practice
Liam was appointed Chair of the CCG on 27 October 2017, he is a Partner at East Norfolk Medical Practice and works as a GP at Newtown Surgery. He entered practice in 1986 after graduating from St Mary's Hospital Medical School in 1982.
Melanie joined the NHS in 1999 after completing an MSc in Health Promotion Sciences at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She has held a variety of senior positions across the NHS, most recently as Chief Officer for NHS Southend CCG. Melanie also leads the STP, alongside her role within the CCG, as the STPs interim executive lead.
Deputy Chief Officer, Director of Commissioning
Cath trained as a registered nurse and specialised in Critical Care Nursing. She has a wide range of experience in quality, safety and educational roles with the NHS.
Rebecca is Chief Nurse, Director of Infection Prevention and Control as well as Director for Children, Young People and Maternity. She is also the Caldicott Guardian.
Dr Andy McCall
GP at Millwood Surgery, Chair of the Clinical Executive Committee
Andy has been a GP Partner at Millwood Surgery in Bradwell since 2003. Prior to this, he trained at Birmingham University’s Medical School qualifying in 1997.
Dr Tamer Okasha
GP at Rosedale Surgery, Lowestoft and Practice Centre representative
Dr Okasha has a wide range of experience and current roles include: a part-time partner at Rosedale Surgery, Lowestoft, a consultant at Accident and Emergency at the James Paget University Hospital, and Curriculum Support Tutor at UEA.
Director of Mandalay Wellbeing Community Interest Company and ENMP PPG representative
Trevor is Director of Mandalay Wellbeing Community Interest Company (CIC) and has a community events management background. Before this, he was an Area Development Manager for the Post Office.
Dr Hitesh Kumar
GP at Andaman Surgery, Lowestoft and Practice Centre representative
Hitesh is a full-time GP partner at Andaman Surgery, Lowestoft. He previously worked in Woodbridge, Suffolk as a salaried GP.
Lay Vice Chairman
John has lived and worked for most of his adult life in Norfolk and Waveney. He has an accounting background and is a qualified accountant. he retired in 2006.
Chair Patient Participation Group Forum - Representative
Now retired Graham was previously a Civil Engineer. He was also Strategic Director for Hertfordshire County Council between 2001 and 2007.
Lay member representative
Cedric Burton’s background is principally in Defence where he spent more than 30 years as a soldier in operational deployments, equipment acquisition, strategy development and organisational change.
Dr Lucie Barker
GP at Rosedale Surgery, Practice Centre Representative
Dr Lucie Barker qualified from the University of Sheffield In 1996 and has been a GP Partner at Rosedale Surgery in Carlton Colville since 2003.
Having undertaken post-graduate studies in the field she has a clinical interest in Women’s Health. Her additional roles include the teaching of medical students and GP registrars.
Director of Primary Care
Sadie has previously been head of primary care at Suffolk Primary Care Trust before moving into the role of Head of Operations at NHS Ipswich and East Suffolk CCG. More recently she has played a crucial role at NHS Southend CCG as Associate Director of Primary Care and Engagement.
Chief Finance Officer
John became chief finance officer for all five CCGs in Norfolk and Waveney on 29 April, 2019.
John’s background is in NHS finance in Norfolk, starting in 1990 as a graduate finance trainee with Norwich Health Authority and in management accounts at NNUH. At Norfolk PCT he was deputy director of finance (Out of Hospital Services), and in 2012 he joined West Norfolk as chief finance officer before moving to NHS Norwich CCG as chief finance officer from April 2016.
Dr Ardyn Ross
GP and Governing Body Member
Dr Ardyn Ross trained at University College London qualifying in 1992. She has been a GP Principal in Gorleston since 2001. Included in her many additional roles Ardyn is also a GP tutor and senior lecturer at Norwich Medical school, a GP trainer achieving PG.certMedEd from the University of Bedford in 2009, a GP appraiser, and CCG mental health delivery board chair and clinical lead.
Dr Robert Mallinson
Governing Body member and secondary care specialist
Dr Mallinson has been practising as a consultant in acute medicine since 2000. He has been working at The Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust since 2005 having previously worked at the Norfolk and Norwich University Trust.
